Yusuf nursery and primary school
Yusuf nursery and primary school is located in Kiyanga area and volunteers and interns can easily get there by one daladala.
In the school they have nursery 1 and 2 classes, 1 for the younger kids and 2 for older, and primary 1,2, and 3 classes. In the school there are altogether 120 kids and 6 teachers. The kids start the school at 7 in the morning, the younger ones finish at 12 and the older at 1pm.
The school is owned by Mr. Yusuf and it is very poor. The kids don’t have desks so they are sitting on the floor when they are studying. They also don’t have any toys, games, playing or teaching materials in the school.
This school really needs help and it is advised that when volunteers/ interns go to this school they bring some donations. The school needs also a lot of help in teaching and volunteers/ interns can help also in administration. Volunteers and interns can help the local teachers
