Letter of Motivation Example Draft 
  • Visit our website and explore the placement introductions. Choose appropriate elective, Internship, voluntary work or teacher exchange placement for yourself and send us an email. If you can’t find suitable placement please send us your requirements and we will find it for you.

  • Medical Electives and interns should contact as soon as the want to book for their placement even a one year before. Volunteers should contact us as soon as possible but latest 1 weeks before coming to Tanzania.

  • Send us your CV and Letter of Motivation, both in English. Tell in short about yourself, about your studies /education, about your previous work experience on your field and also if you have done some previous internships at. In the Letter of Motivation you should also mention the dates and the length of the Elective, Internship / volunteering period.
 
  • All above documents are for pre arrangements of your placement, not for Tanzania Volunteers Limited
 
  • Once you have choose your placement, As soon as possible we will confirm the placement availability including accommodation availability at our hostel.
  • We will make a contract with your placement then send it to you to be signed by you and your school.
 
  • After receiving your contract you need to book your flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport and send us your flight details. 
 
  • When you book your flights remember that you can stay only exactly 3 months with your student visa in Tanzania. (e.g. If you enter the country on 3rd of March you need to exit latest on 2nd of June)
 
  • We will send you the invoice, with bank details for the program fee payments, including online visa applications instructions
 
  • Make sure that your passport is valid 6 months after you trip.
 
  • Get all the vaccinations needed for your travel:
    • A and B hepatitis (optional)
    • MMR­ vaccination (optional)
    • Tetanus (optional)
    • Cholera (optional)
    • Get malaria prevention medicine (optional)
    • Typhoid fever (optional)
    • Yellow fever vaccine for traveling to Tanzania is also recommended, although a yellow fever vaccination certificate is not required on Arrival or Departure. Unless you’re coming from a high infected area and if you will be in transit at Addis Ababa Airport - Ethiopia for more than 8 hours then a  vaccination is required since Ethiopia is on the list of yellow fever high Affected counties  
 
  • Remember to get a traveling insurance
