Tanzania Volunteers offers interesting opportunities for teachers to come to different Tanzanian schools and companies to teach and instruct local workers and students. Teachers can work directly in a classroom or as consultants for various organizations and social groups, such as women groups.
The minimum length for the teacher exchange period is one month. Teacher exchange is always unpaid and working language is English.
Tanzania Volunteers arranges all the contracts and documents needed for teacher exchange, including Residence Permit. When you arrive we will pick you from Kilimanjaro International Airport and you will stay comfortably in our volunteer house together with other interns and volunteers. In the beginning of your trip we will familiarize you with the local language and culture by 3 days orientation.For the teachers is also possible to stay in our yard house which is situated in the same yard with the volunteer house. Yard house is having one bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and basic kitchen facilities.
Our workers will take good care of you during your whole trip. On the weekends you can attend on different safaris or other short trips and after your teacher exchange period you can climb Mount Kilimanjaro or have a relaxing holiday on Zanzibar island. So make sure you have time for longer trips after your teacher exchange period!
