"In the morning it took always about 1 hour to change all the greetings and news with the nurses. Everything happened slowly and it really increases your patience. During the day you can give many vaccinations, take blood samples, and assist in deliveries and in health checking. Home visits were the most interesting experiences and there you can very well see the local life. Only few patients spoke English so learning Swahili became inevitable. The whole internship was really great experience and you can see well the level of African health care and how poverty affects the health."
