Kiboriloni Dispensary is located in small Kiboriloni village in Moshi town. It’s about 6 kilometers from town center. Dispensary was started at 2004. There are about 15 workers.
Dispensary takes care of pregnant women from the beginning of the pregnancy all the way until delivery and then again they take care of the new born babies as long as the kids need the regular clinic visits. They don’t have labor ward. In the dispensary they give vaccinations every day and they have on average more than 20 kids per day.
Kiboriloni dispensary is a very good internship placement for health care or medical students who want to specialize to child care or midwifes concentrating to prenatal or postnatal care.
The dispensary has the following departments:
- RCH, Reproductive and Child Health Clinic
- A and C, Antinatal Care for Pregnant Women
- Postnatal checkups of mother and child
- PMTCT, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmition
- Family planning
The interns should bring their own working clothes, shoes, gloves and hand disinfection liquid.
